Alpacas at a Black Tie Wedding: Craig and Chance's Unforgettable Day at Wadley Farms

When Craig and Chance first reached out to Peppergrass Ranch, they already knew exactly what they wanted. They had seen us filming with the cast of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and they were sold. These two Texas grooms were planning a destination wedding in Utah, and they were bringing the whole black tie experience with them, including alpacas.

The result? One of the most stunning, memorable, and flat-out fun weddings we have ever been a part of.

A Castle, a Real Housewife, and a Lot of Alpaca Fluff

Wadley Farms in Utah is the kind of venue that looks like it was pulled straight from a fairytale. The property is breathtaking from every angle: a stone castle facade with gothic turrets and arches wooden doors, lush manicured garden with iron gates and brick pathways, a stone foundation surrounded by towering trees draped in Edison bulb string lights, a glass-and-timber chapel with a grand fireplace, and a grand ballroom with soaring beamed ceilings and dramatic chandeliers. With the Wasatch Mountains rising in the background, every single corner of this property is a photographer's dream. Craig and Chance chose the venue well.

The ceremony was officiated by none other than Bronwyn Newport, known to fans of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Her presence added an extra layer of energy and star power to an already remarkable event.

Guests flew in from Texas dressed head to tow in black tie attire. The dress code was taken seriously, and the photos absolutely show it. A sea of tuxedos and floor-length black gowns filling the chapel for the ceremony, then spilling out across the gardens for cocktail hour, and finally packing the grand ballroom for a reception that went late into the night.

The Alpacas Stole the Show

Peppergrass Ranch brought alpacas for the cocktail hour and portrait session, and our fluffy crew absolutely delivered. Dressed in their finest floral necklaces, the alpacas roamed the garden grounds of Wadley Farms, greeted guests mingling on the stone patio, and yes, they even made their way inside during cocktail hour, charming every single person in the room.

Craig and Chance took turns walking the alpacas through the brick garden paths under the string lights, pausing by the iron gates, the fountain, and the ivy-covered stone walls for portraits that stopped us in our tracks. There is something truly special about watching two grooms in tuxedos share a quiet moment with an alpaca in a garden.

Photographers Demarie Kane of Demi Rose Photo + Video didn't miss a single detail. The ring shots resting on soft alpaca fleece, the candid guest reactions, the grooms stealing a kiss with two fluffy alpaca faces photobombing the moment. These are the kids of photos that end up framed on walls for decades.

The Details That Made This Wedding Extraordinary

Craig and Chance did not miss a thing! The ceremony took place inside the chapel at Wadley Farms, with rows of white garden chairs lining an aisle scattered with flower petals. After the "I do's," guests moved into the garden for cocktail hour where Tin Barrel Beverage Bar had set up their signature cart alongside chilled coolers packed with drinks. The grooms poured a champagne tower in the garden gazebo, surrounded by vines and glowing lights, and it was everything.

The reception inside the grand ballroom was long-table elegance at its finest - white linens, gold chiavari chairs, tall floral centerpieces, and candlelight throughout. A live violinist performed as guests arrived on the dance floor, a full band kept energy high all night, and DJ Cooper Brown kept the party going from there. The dessert spread was stunning, the cake by Frosted by Lyndsey Orand was a five-tier showstopper, and the snack table offered branded to-go boxes that guests were still talking about as they walked out through the sparkler send-off at the end of the night.
